Techland has delighted fans by releasing a captivating 30-minute gameplay video for Dying Light: The Beast. This highly anticipated installment was first introduced during the 2024 GamesCom Opening Night Live event. Initially conceived as a downloadable expansion for Dying Light 2, the game is now a standalone experience. It’s currently being developed for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series consoles.
In Dying Light: The Beast, players will once again step into the shoes of Kyle Crane. After enduring years of grueling experiments, Crane embarks on a quest for revenge. However, he soon discovers that the threats he faces are far more dangerous than he could have ever anticipated.
During the 2025 Summer Game Fest, Techland released a thrilling half-hour gameplay video showcasing Dying Light: The Beast. Scheduled for release on August 22, 2025, the game offers a host of exciting new features. Players can utilize the Disaster Intuition to detect Exterminators stealthily prowling the night, allowing for strategic eliminations.
Daytime gameplay introduces diverse enemy types, and players can creatively engage them using a mix of ranged and melee combat techniques. Whether it’s pushing foes off rooftops or employing bows and other weapons, strategic combat is key. Vehicle driving makes a return, enabling players to mow down infected adversaries. However, be warned: vehicles will sustain damage over time and may become unusable.
The Ultimate Edition of Dying Light 2 is available for pre-order on Epic Games, PlayStation, Steam, and Xbox stores. Pre-order customers will receive the exclusive Hero of Harran bundle.
