Ingredients for Cheddar Pasta Recipe
- 400 grams of pasta (such as penne, bow-tie, or spaghetti)
- 2 tablespoons of butter or olive oil
- 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 200 grams of cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 cup of milk or cream
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Finely chopped parsley or fresh basil, for garnish
How to Prepare Cheddar Pasta
- In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta until it is al dente, following the package instructions. Drain the pasta well.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing it to coat evenly with the garlic-infused butter.
- Pour in the milk or cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer gently over low heat for a few minutes to allow the sauce to meld with the pasta.
- Gradually mix in half of the grated cheddar cheese, stirring until it melts smoothly into the sauce. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top of the pasta.
- Cover the skillet and let it sit over low heat for 2-3 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt fully.
- Season with salt and black pepper according to your taste. Garnish with finely chopped parsley or fresh basil before serving.
- Enjoy your delicious, cheesy creation while it’s hot!
