400 grams of pasta (such as penne, bow-tie, or spaghetti)
2 tablespoons of butter or olive oil
2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
200 grams of cheddar cheese, grated
1 cup of milk or cream
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Finely chopped parsley or fresh basil, for garnish
How to Prepare Cheddar Pasta
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta until it is al dente, following the package instructions. Drain the pasta well.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing it to coat evenly with the garlic-infused butter.
Pour in the milk or cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer gently over low heat for a few minutes to allow the sauce to meld with the pasta.
Gradually mix in half of the grated cheddar cheese, stirring until it melts smoothly into the sauce. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top of the pasta.
Cover the skillet and let it sit over low heat for 2-3 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt fully.
Season with salt and black pepper according to your taste. Garnish with finely chopped parsley or fresh basil before serving.
