In a touching tribute on his social media account, Özel expressed his deep sorrow: “How does one even begin to express such profound grief, or articulate the void left by a beloved brother’s departure? We have lost not only a cherished one but our closest, most diligent, and most dedicated companion. Personally, I feel the immense loss of a friend who was like a part of me, someone with whom I shared dreams, which we then brought to life together. Within me burns a fire of sorrow that I cannot seem to quell. My heart aches profoundly. My sincere condolences to us all.”
