In a strategic move, Chelsea Football Club has successfully signed French footballer of Senegalese descent, Mamadou Sarr, from France’s Strasbourg. The English Premier League giants have secured the services of the 19-year-old defender with a contract extending to 2033.
The English media reports that the transfer deal was concluded for an estimated €15 million, inclusive of performance-based bonuses. Sarr, who began his football journey with Olympique Lyonnais, transitioned to Strasbourg at the start of last season.
The young defender, who has represented France in various youth national teams, demonstrated his potential with 28 appearances for Strasbourg last season, solidifying his reputation as a rising star in European football.
