Brigitte Trafford joins Howden as Group Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, bringing extensive experience to enhance corporate communications.
Global insurance and reinsurance broker Howden has announced the appointment of Brigitte Trafford to the newly established position of Group Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, effective immediately. In her new role, Trafford will report directly to David Howden, the Chief Executive Officer, and will become a member of the Global Leadership Team.
Trafford’s responsibilities will encompass leading the broker’s brand and marketing initiatives, communications strategies, public relations, public affairs, events, research, and social impact teams. She will be instrumental in crafting a global strategy that aligns with and supports the company’s business growth objectives.
Before joining Howden, Trafford served as a senior advisor to Lansons, a corporate reputation consultancy. Her career includes leadership roles in corporate affairs and marketing, with executive committee positions at LSEG, Virgin Media, ICAP, ITV plc, and Dow Jones & Company.
Upon her appointment, David Howden remarked, “Our presence as a global entity is a crucial component of our forthcoming growth phase. In related news, Howden recently introduced the Howden Auto Tracker, a new automated follow-form facility. This innovation combines tracker capacity with connected algorithmic capacity, providing brokers with direct access to both through a unified data source.
