Xiaomi has successfully rolled out HyperOS 2 globally and is now focusing on the development of HyperOS 2.2. This new iteration is currently in beta testing and is expected to be officially launched in mid-May. The initial release will target a specific set of models, with a wider release planned for later.
The first batch of devices to receive the HyperOS 2.2 update includes flagship models such as the Xiaomi 15 series, Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, and several Redmi models. The deployment for these devices is scheduled to occur from mid-May to mid-June. Following this, a second batch of devices will receive the update by late July, ensuring a comprehensive rollout.
Xiaomi’s latest update aims to enhance the user experience by introducing smoother and more fluid animations. Improvements include optimized scrolling animations, seamless app transition effects, and refined animations for closing apps in landscape mode. In addition, the status bar and notifications have been enhanced with support for additional icons, customizable notifications, and improved signal icon behavior.
Lock screen enhancements include upgraded fingerprint unlock animations, a blur effect for desktop wallpapers, and refined navigation settings.
