Xiaomi, a leader in consumer electronics, has introduced a significant upgrade to its gaming monitor lineup with the launch of the Redmi Monitor G Pro 27U. This new model brings substantial advancements over the prior G Pro 27 MiniLED version, focusing on delivering superior gaming performance and impeccable color accuracy.
The monitor boasts a stunning 27-inch 4K Ultra HD display with a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels. Enhanced by a Mini LED backlighting system, the screen is divided into 1,152 distinct zones, further enriched by Quantum Dot technology. This combination allows the monitor to achieve a peak brightness of 1600 nits, ensuring vibrant and dynamic visuals.
While the monitor’s native refresh rate is 160Hz, users can optimize performance through software to reach an impressive 320Hz. The device excels in color accuracy, covering the entire sRGB color spectrum and 99% of both DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB. Additionally, it comes pre-calibrated for professional applications right out of the box.
Beyond its display prowess, the monitor is powered by a quad-core Cortex-A73 processor paired with G57 graphics. It also features 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, running on Xiaomi’s innovative HyperOS. On the audio front, users can enjoy rich sound quality from the built-in dual 5W speakers.
The G Pro 27U offers extensive connectivity options, including two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 (supporting 8K at 60Hz), one USB 3.0, and one USB 2.0 port. It also supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, along with wireless mirroring capabilities via AirPlay and Miracast.
In terms of design, the monitor measures 613.3 x 521.2 x 227.3 mm and weighs 6.8 kg with the stand, and 613.3 x 364.5 x 65.9 mm and 4.7 kg without it. The device allows for vertical tilt adjustments from -5° to +20° and horizontal rotation from -35° to +35° and is compatible with 75×75 mm VESA mounts for wall installation.
The Redmi Monitor G Pro 27U comes with a retail price of $370, marking a 35% increase over the previous year’s model. However, details about its global availability remain undisclosed.
