WhatsApp has rolled out version 2.25.13.23 for Android users registered with the Google Play Beta Program. This update brings with it the revelation of an innovative feature currently under development: the ability to react to messages and media with stickers.
While this feature is not yet available to all users, it promises to be generally accessible in a forthcoming update. WhatsApp is testing the ability to react to messages with stickers, allowing users to express themselves in a more creative manner when the existing emoji options fall short.
The new functionality will enable users to employ the full range of stickers available in the sticker keyboard for message reactions. This includes stickers downloaded from the WhatsApp Sticker Store, as well as those imported from third-party apps or previously saved. Furthermore, animated stickers created using the Lottie Framework will also be supported, making reactions more dynamic and expressive.
With this feature, users will have the opportunity to convey emotions in a more original and fun way, especially when a standard emoji cannot fully capture the sentiment. Custom-designed stickers will enrich the messaging experience, providing a broader spectrum of expression.
