Vivo is gearing up to introduce the latest iteration of its S series smartphones in the upcoming month. Following the launch of the S20 and S20 Pro in December 2024, the forthcoming lineup is expected to be named the “S30” series. Among these, one standout model might be the Vivo S30 Pro Mini, designed as a compact smartphone.
Recent leaks from credible sources have illuminated some of the technical specifications of this device. The Vivo S30 Pro Mini is anticipated to feature a 6.31-inch flat display, boasting a resolution of 1.5K (2640 x 1216 pixels) and a refresh rate of 120Hz for smooth visuals. The screen will likely be an LTPO OLED panel.
At the core of the S30 Pro Mini will be the Dimensity 9400e processor, yet to be officially announced. It is speculated that this chip might be a rebranded version of the Dimensity 9300 Plus. The device will not only focus on performance but also offer rapid charging capabilities with its substantial battery supporting 90W fast charging.
Photography enthusiasts will find the device appealing with its camera setup. A 50-megapixel front-facing camera is expected for selfies, while the rear will host a main 50-megapixel camera accompanied by a telephoto lens of the same resolution.
The Vivo S30 Pro Mini is likely to be unveiled alongside the standard S30 model. Rumors suggest the standard S30 will feature a 6.67-inch OLED panel with 1.5K resolution and will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset.
In terms of pricing, the S30 Pro Mini is presumed to be a cost-effective alternative compared to the Vivo X200 Pro Mini, which launched last year. With the X200 Pro Mini debuting at approximately $645, the new model is expected to be priced similarly within this range.
