US and Ukraine Forge Investment Agreement

The US-Ukraine Investment Partnership

The United States and Ukraine have finalized an agreement to establish a Ukrainian restructuring investment fund, as announced by the US Treasury Department.

Ukraine’s First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko traveled to Washington, D.C. to formalize the agreement.

Memorandum of Understanding Signed

On April 18, both nations signed a memorandum of understanding which set the stage for an accord focused on developing Ukraine’s mineral resources.

This document expressed both parties’ intentions to conclude negotiations by April 26 and to finalize the agreement promptly. Ukrainian officials are optimistic that this deal, supported by US President Donald Trump, will bolster dwindling American support.
