The much-anticipated expansion, The Elder Scrolls Online: Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 1, has officially launched for PC and Mac users, courtesy of Bethesda Softworks and ZeniMax Online Studios. This new chapter not only introduces a thrilling continuation of the original ESO storyline but also comes with the free Update 46, enhancing the core game experience.
Seasons of the Worm Cult: An Intriguing Continuation
In this two-part narrative, an extension of ESO’s foundational story arcs, the ominous Worm Cult has seized control of the island of Solstice. Hidden behind the enigmatic Writhing Wall, their activities remain shrouded in mystery. In Part 1, adventurers will explore the lush, tropical landscapes of the Western Solstice, encountering formidable World Bosses, challenging dungeons, a free-for-all dungeon, and the all-new Ossein Cage Trial, promising an action-packed journey with rich rewards.
Introducing Subclasses: Customize Your Journey
The newly introduced Subclass system offers unprecedented flexibility for players to personalize their characters. This innovative feature allows adventurers to interchange up to two of their character’s class skills with those from other classes, fostering creativity and diversity in gameplay. Witness the subclass system in action and redefine your playstyle.
Hero’s Return: Welcoming Back the Adventurers
For those returning to the game after a hiatus, the Hero’s Return system provides a seamless re-entry into the world of ESO. Completing this adventure unlocks the Hero’s Return Golden Pursuit quest, offering unique login rewards and additional resources to ease your transition back into the game.
Update 46: Enhancements and Improvements
Beyond new content, Update 46 brings significant improvements to the core game. Players will enjoy an updated in-game map for streamlined navigation across Tamriel, alongside enhanced tutorials for the Wayshrine system. Console players can prepare for their journey to Western Solstice by engaging in the free starter quest, A Guild in Crisis, collaborating with Prince Azah of the Sentinel to confront the Worm Cult’s resurgence.
Upcoming Console Release and Content Pass
While PC and Mac players can dive into the new content immediately, Xbox and PlayStation users will join the adventure on June 18th. With the 2025 Content Pass, players gain access to all planned updates for the year, including both parts of Seasons of the Worm Cult, two dungeon packs, and the Writhing Wall in-game event.
