Bethesda, in collaboration with the external developer Virtuos, has officially launched The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered. Originally debuting in 2006, this enhanced version offers extensive improvements that make it suitable for modern gaming systems. The remastered game is available for PC (via Steam and Xbox App), Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. As part of Microsoft’s acquisition, the game is also accessible to Game Pass subscribers.
The Oblivion Remastered Deluxe Edition includes the renowned Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles expansions, along with additional features like bonus missions, the iconic horse armor DLC, and more. These enhancements are packaged together in the deluxe edition.
This remake offers a significant visual overhaul, updating the role-playing game’s aesthetic to meet current standards. Built using Unreal Engine 5, the game showcases 4K Ultra HD graphics and supports frame rates up to 60 FPS. Virtuos has maintained the original mesh system for each character race, optimizing the lip synchronization system to work effectively across diverse facial features. Moreover, the game includes a wealth of new dialogues, featuring unique voice lines for all races.
