Samsung Resumes One UI 7 Distribution

Following a temporary halt due to unforeseen issues, Samsung has recommenced the rollout of the One UI 7 update, built on Android 15. This update, which had been eagerly anticipated, brings several enhancements and features to Samsung’s lineup. Notably, a new video showcasing One UI 7.0 on the Galaxy S22 series has surfaced, highlighting some differences from the S23 and S24 models.

Distinct Features for Galaxy S22

The One UI 7 update on the Galaxy S22 series appears to diverge from its counterparts, the Galaxy S23 and S24. While the update introduces dynamic icons and a streamlined user interface, certain AI features are missing. The leaked video of a test version confirms the absence of some tools, such as Drawing Assist and Now Brief, which debuted with the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Furthermore, the Now Bar is limited to media playback functions exclusively. This suggests that the S22 series might experience some restrictions in terms of software capabilities.

According to Samsung’s roadmap, the stable version of One UI 7.0 for the Galaxy S22 series is expected to launch in May, implying a continued wait for users.

Exciting Innovations with One UI 7.0

The One UI 7.0 update is poised to bring substantial enhancements to both the interface and AI functionalities. Users can anticipate smoother animations, a new two-page Quick Panel, and a redesigned camera app tailored for one-handed operation. Additionally, updated stock app icons are part of this update.
