Samsung has officially rolled out the stable Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update for its Galaxy S24 series in South Korea. Shortly after, this update began reaching other regions, including Turkey. The global rollout encompasses the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, as well as the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 models.
The stable Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update is currently available for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. The Galaxy S23 series, along with the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6, will also receive this update soon. The update for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, version S928BXXU4BYD9, includes the latest April 1, 2025 security patch and is approximately 5.5 GB in size. Users can manually check for updates by navigating to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install on their devices.
One UI 7.0 marks a significant transformation in Samsung’s mobile interface. The update introduces a redesigned UI with notifications and the Quick Settings panel now located on separate pages. The Quick Settings panel is enhanced with greater customization options and a newly integrated volume slider. Samsung’s built-in apps feature revamped icons and improved functionality. The camera app boasts a new design emphasizing one-handed usability, and new Galaxy AI capabilities are embedded throughout the system.
The update also includes redesigned widget options, presenting numerous new and enhanced widgets for both the home and lock screens. The lock screen offers expanded customization capabilities. Interface animations and transitions are more fluid and vibrant than previous iterations. Additional noteworthy enhancements include a new charging animation, a redesigned battery icon in the status bar, and improved battery health protection features.
A standout feature of One UI 7.0 is the introduction of the Now Bar, a live notification bar on the lock screen. This feature displays real-time information on ongoing activities, such as media playback, stopwatch, timer, map navigation, sports scores, and notifications from Samsung Health.
