Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge: A New Era for the S Series?

Recently, Samsung unveiled its latest innovation, the Galaxy S25 Edge, a slim smartphone that has garnered much attention. In the wake of this announcement, speculation has arisen regarding its successor. Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge: A New Era for the S Series?

According to insiders within Samsung’s component supply chain, the South Korean tech giant has initiated development on the Galaxy S26 series, focusing on the base, Edge, and Ultra models. The decision to potentially phase out the Plus model stems from its status as the least popular option in the Galaxy S lineup. This move mirrors Apple’s strategy with the anticipated iPhone 17 Air, which is expected to mark the end of the iPhone Plus model.

While these reports remain speculative, Samsung’s future decisions will likely hinge on the commercial performance of the S25 Edge. This year, Samsung aims to sell 37.7 million units of the Galaxy S25 series, with the Ultra model projected to account for 17.4 million sales and the base model 13.6 million. In stark contrast, the sales target for the S25 Plus is only 6.7 million units.
