The participating nations agreed to enhance their previous voluntary reduction agreement of 1.65 million barrels per day, initially introduced in April 2023, by adding the new production increment beginning next month.
According to the official statement, the collective strategy aims to support a sustainable supply-demand balance without disrupting market confidence. Following December, the eight OPEC+ members plan to suspend further production increases during January, February, and March 2026 due to traditional seasonal factors that influence oil consumption patterns.
