The injury occurred during a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on March 19, when he experienced a crushed back bone after a hard fall. This unfortunate event has left the Pelicans without one of their standout players.
Similarly, CJ McCollum, another key player for the Pelicans, was injured during a matchup with the Detroit Pistons on March 23. McCollum, who had been contributing an average of 21.1 points over 56 games, sustained a crushed right foot bone, further compounding the team’s injury woes.
