MSIG Insurance Singapore has unveiled an innovative travel insurance product, TravelEasy Flex, crafted to meet the evolving needs of today’s travelers who desire customizable and cost-effective insurance solutions. This product launch is in response to an internal study highlighting key priorities among Singaporean travelers, which include coverage for overseas medical expenses, disruptions like flight delays, baggage loss or theft, and the flexibility to cancel trips for personal reasons.
The survey revealed a rising trend for insurance policies that allow travelers to personalize their coverage according to individual preferences and budgets. TravelEasy Flex is designed with a three-tiered structure that allows customers to choose a base plan from a variety of coverage limits, offering over 30 benefits across different plans. Starting at just $9 for basic coverage, the product provides additional flexibility through optional modules.

Group policies for three or more travelers are eligible for discounted rates. The product also offers reduced premiums for child coverage, making it an attractive option for families planning trips together.
According to Steven Leong, Senior Vice President for Retail Distribution at MSIG Singapore, the development of TravelEasy Flex was driven by the growing demand for personalized travel protection options. “We’ve noticed that customers prefer customizing their travel insurance and paying only for what they need. TravelEasy Flex caters to modern travelers seeking flexibility and value for money,” he stated.
As outbound travel continues to recover, flexible solutions like TravelEasy Flex are positioned to support this shift in consumer expectations.
To celebrate the launch, MSIG is offering promotional pricing throughout April 2025: a 60% discount on single-trip policies and a 25% discount on annual coverage.
