Microsoft has announced an exciting new feature for Game Pass Ultimate, enhancing the cloud gaming experience for users. This update allows gamers to launch their games directly from the cloud, significantly streamlining the gaming process. Originally introduced in 2017, Game Pass has continually evolved, providing gamers with access to a wide array of titles at a reasonable price. Although the subscription cost has increased over time, the value it offers remains commendable, thanks to a constant influx of new games added monthly, alongside the removal of select titles.
In a bid to enhance user experience, Microsoft is not just focusing on expanding its game library but also on integrating innovative features. The latest addition allows users to launch owned games directly from the cloud, a feature first announced in 2019. After several delays and limited initial availability, it is now fully supported in over a hundred games. To access this feature, navigate to My Games and Apps, then All Library, and finally Owned Games. Games supporting this feature are marked with a cloud icon, making it easy for users to identify them.
Unfortunately, Xbox Cloud Gaming is not yet operational in all regions, leaving many eager gamers waiting for its rollout. Meanwhile, Microsoft is also working on other improvements; notably, the remote play feature in the mobile Xbox app has been removed. However, a new feature now allows users to view multiple copies or expired games at a glance, enhancing the app’s usability.
Microsoft is set to introduce the ability for Android and iOS users to purchase games, initiate Game Pass subscriptions, and manage add-ons directly through the app. Initially available to beta users, this feature will soon be accessible to all users. Additionally, there are plans to extend remote play support to Samsung Smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV, and Meta Quest titles, promising to diversify the platforms where Xbox games can be enjoyed.
