In anticipation of the much-awaited release of Doom: The Dark Ages, Microsoft and Xbox have introduced a series of limited-edition accessories that promise to captivate fans of the franchise. Among these is a specially designed wireless controller that embodies the iconic and fierce aesthetic of the Doom Slayer.

The controller’s body, buttons, and directional pad are finished in a ‘breastplate green’, echoing the battle-worn armor of the Doom Slayer. Adding a striking contrast, the right analog stick is painted in a vivid red, symbolizing the Doom Slayer’s mechanical implant known as the ‘chest port.’ Silver-plated accents adorn the grips, while 3D silver spikes encircle the central Xbox button, reminiscent of the Slayer’s formidable helmet.

Additionally, the traditional A, X, B, Y buttons are uniquely marked with demonic symbols, challenging players to rely on their button-placement instincts. While this may present a fun twist for seasoned gamers, newcomers might find it slightly challenging when following on-screen prompts.

Completing this exclusive lineup is a limited-edition skin for the Xbox Series X, designed to resemble a blood-streaked, cracked obelisk. This skin is meticulously detailed with ‘mind-bending inscriptions and symbols from the deepest layers of Hell’, perfectly complementing both disc and digital versions of the Series X consoles. It is priced at £49.99/$54.99.
