Vivo is poised to make waves with its latest entry in the foldable smartphone arena, the Vivo X Fold 5. With the official launch just around the corner, Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao has provided a sneak peek into the device’s design and screen capabilities, sparking excitement among tech enthusiasts. Here are the Vivo X Fold 5’s standout display technologies and design enhancements:
Advanced Display Technologies
The Vivo X Fold 5 boasts state-of-the-art LTPO 8T panels for both its internal and external screens. These panels offer an adaptive refresh rate, ensuring a seamless visual experience during daily activities such as browsing, video streaming, and gaming. A key upgrade is the display’s brightness, which achieves a native peak brightness of 4,500 nits, facilitating readability even under direct sunlight. Additionally, the display is certified with TÜV Rheinland Global Eye Protection 3.0 to safeguard eye health and supports advanced high-frequency PWM dimming technology.
Color Accuracy and Design Innovations
The Vivo X Fold 5 excels in color accuracy, delivering vibrant and natural color reproduction thanks to Zeiss Master Color calibration. The latest images also highlight a notable design innovation: a new physical button on the left edge, replacing the alert slider from the previous X Fold 3 series. Although its exact function remains undisclosed, it is anticipated to be customizable for quick actions or specific tasks.
