Intel is gearing up to launch the next iteration of its Arc Battlemage GPUs, building on the success of the first-generation Arc Alchemist. Previously, the architecture was unveiled with models such as the Intel Arc B580 and B570, and now the company is setting the stage for a more robust offering. Recently, the Arc B770 has been confirmed through a new leak.
Intel Arc B770: A Potential Rival for the RTX 5060
The Battlemage series is poised to welcome a new addition. Information from Gazlog, a Japan-based source, reveals that Intel is developing a new graphics card, codenamed “BMG-G31”. This model is anticipated to be officially named as the Arc B770. Initial shipments have already begun to Intel’s facilities in Vietnam.
Currently, the Battlemage lineup consists of the Arc B580 and Arc B570 models. While the B580 has garnered attention for its competitive pricing, confirmation of a high-end model was elusive until now. The Arc B770 is expected to feature 24-32 Xe2 cores, a 256-bit memory bus, and 16 GB of GDDR6 memory. With these specifications, the Arc B770 could stand out among mid-range models, particularly those with only 8GB of VRAM. It’s also likely to be priced competitively against rivals like the RTX 5060.
Regarding its release, the launch is speculated to coincide with Computex 2025, which is scheduled to take place from May 20-23.
