PlayStation 5 Triumphs with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has emerged as a standout success on the PlayStation 5, surpassing its performance on PC and Xbox Series platforms. Alinea Analytics analyst Rhys Elliott has highlighted this achievement with his latest data insights.
The game was launched across multiple platforms, including PC (via Steam) and Xbox Series, and was also made available to Game Pass subscribers from day one. However, it is on Sony’s console that the game has truly shone.
Outstanding Sales on PlayStation 5
According to Elliott’s data, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has surpassed 100,000 units sold on PlayStation 5, reaching an impressive total of 117,200 units. In contrast, Steam sales were recorded at 91,000 units, indicating a 28% faster sales rate on the PlayStation Store compared to Steam.
While Elliott estimates that the Xbox player base for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is under five million, it’s crucial to note that this figure focuses on gameplay access rather than direct sales, as many Xbox users access the game through the Game Pass service. On the other hand, PC gamers seem more inclined to purchase directly from the Steam store.
The PlayStation 5 version capitalizes on its advanced hardware, offering full DualSense support with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Enhanced features include 3D audio, rapid loading times via SSDs, and gameplay at 60 FPS with high resolution, ray tracing, and global lighting. With PlayStation 5 Pro, the game achieves an elevated experience with true 4K resolution, advanced ray tracing, and stable frame rates, providing an unparalleled adventure.
