The anticipation is building for the upcoming Honor 400 series of smartphones, as the company gears up for a grand launch. This series is set to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, marking its debut in the Chinese market. This cutting-edge chipset succeeds the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and promises a remarkable performance boost of up to 27%.
In recent Geekbench performance tests, the Honor 400, identified by the model number DNN-AN00, showcased impressive capabilities. Equipped with 16 GB of RAM, the device runs on the Android 15 operating system. It achieved scores of 1351 in single-core and 4145 in multi-core tests. These scores reflect significant improvements over its predecessor, with an enhancement of approximately 200 points in single-core and 1000 points in multi-core results compared to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor is crafted with a cutting-edge 4-nanometer process. It features a primary core clocked at 2.80 GHz, accompanied by four performance cores running at 2.40 GHz and three efficiency cores at 1.84 GHz. On the graphics front, the Adreno 722 GPU is incorporated, delivering a 30% performance boost over the previous generation, according to Qualcomm.
While the Chinese iteration of the Honor 400 will house the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, the global variant is set to come with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. The global release is scheduled for May 22. Additionally, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 is expected to power other upcoming models like the Vivo S30, the Chinese version of the iQOO Z10, and a yet-to-be-named Realme smartphone. These advancements indicate that the Honor 400 series will not only captivate with its design but also with significant hardware innovations.
