Fenerbahçe’s president, Ali Koç, has revealed plans for an extraordinary general assembly scheduled for September. This announcement comes amidst a growing movement within the club’s community, where a signature campaign has been initiated, advocating for a change in the current management structure.

In line with our club’s bylaws, we have refrained from making any public comments regarding the signatures gathered for the Extraordinary General Assembly. This decision is aimed at ensuring a smooth and unmanipulated process.
We respect and uphold our congress members’ rights as outlined in our bylaws, viewing them as essential to our club’s democratic processes. Nonetheless, it is important to acknowledge that, in alignment with Fenerbahçe’s longstanding traditions and corporate ethos, an Extraordinary General Assembly has never been convened through signature collection in the club’s history.
Currently, there appears to be an orchestrated attempt, particularly on social media, to distort public perception with baseless and defamatory claims. To maintain transparency and facilitate the smooth progression of this process, we’ve decided to publicize detailed information about the signatures collected, within the constraints of our legal and statutory guidelines.
Details on Signature Submission:
Notary Mail Submissions: Signatures sent via notary mail are processed by our Legal Department. As of June 4, 2025, a total of 151 signatures have been received and logged.
Supreme Council of Divan (YDK) Submissions: Signatures submitted to the Supreme Council of Divan are transferred to our Legal Department with a signed receipt from the YDK Secretariat. As of June 4, 2025, 78 such submissions have been documented.
In summary, the total number of signatures submitted to our club stands at 229. We assure the public that this process will be managed with the utmost diligence and in strict adherence to legal protocols.
