Everest Reinsurance names Jason Koh as Head of Financial Risk in APAC, bolstering their expertise in the region’s financial sector.
Everest Reinsurance, a subsidiary of the Bermuda-based Everest Group, has officially announced the appointment of Jason Koh as the Head of Financial Risk for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. This strategic move sees Koh joining Everest Reinsurance from the prominent European reinsurer, Swiss Re.
Koh embarked on his new role with Everest Reinsurance last month, bringing with him an extensive tenure of over seven years at Swiss Re. There, he honed his expertise as Vice President, Senior Underwriter Credit & Surety, operating from Singapore. Prior to this, Koh held the position of Vice President, Credit & Surety Underwriter for more than two years, having initially joined Swiss Re in 2017 as a Credit & Surety Underwriter.
In a statement, Everest highlighted the significance of Koh’s appointment: “Jason’s deep industry knowledge and strong relationships will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen Everest’s position in financial risks across APAC.”
Before his tenure at Swiss Re, Koh accumulated valuable experience over two years at Euler Hermes as an Account Manager. This followed his role at QBE Insurance, where he spent 15 months as a Regional Underwriter specializing in Trade Credit.
Koh’s career began in the banking sector, where he worked as a Business Development Manager for Enterprise Banking at OCBC Bank in Singapore for one year, setting a strong foundation for his subsequent roles in global insurance and reinsurance firms.
