Discover Bupa Turkey’s new state-of-the-art health center at Adıyaman University, enhancing healthcare accessibility and innovation.
Since the onset of the earthquake, Bupa Turkey has been a steadfast supporter of the affected region, taking significant strides to enhance the health and sustainability of local communities. In a monumental step, a 140 m² state-of-the-art health center has been inaugurated on the Adıyaman University campus. This initiative ensures that university students have the resources to pursue their education in optimal health conditions.
The Adıyaman University Health, Culture and Sports Department Health Center is strategically designed to address the pressing health needs of over 16,000 students and more than 1,600 university staff members, facilitating uninterrupted and healthy educational pursuits.
After approximately three months of construction, the Adıyaman University Health, Culture and Sports Department Health Center was officially opened on Friday, April 11. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Adıyaman University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Keleş, Bupa Turkey Chairman Gökhan Gürcan, Bupa Turkey Strategy and Transformation Group President Ebru Keskin Kulalar, along with various Bupa Turkey executives, members of the Adıyaman provincial protocol, and esteemed academic staff of the university.
The newly established health center, positioned within the university campus, includes psychotherapy services and two examination rooms, sprawling over a 140 square meter area. It is meticulously planned to cater to immediate health needs, encompassing both physical and psychological support, with services provided by specialist physicians.
Structured as a modern and resilient facility, the Adıyaman University Health, Culture and Sports Department Health Center aims to fulfill the health requirements of the university’s large student body and its academic and administrative personnel.
Gökhan Gürcan, Chairman of Bupa Turkey, emphasized the significance of this center for the enhancement of regional health services and the continuity of education: “At Bupa Turkey, our efforts have been unwavering in addressing the health and basic needs of the region since the earthquake’s first day. We have initiated numerous projects aiming to bolster regional health and ensure a sustainable future. Realizing the critical importance of healthcare access post-earthquake, we established the Adıyaman University Health, Culture and Sports Department Health Center. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Adıyaman University Rector Mehmet Keleş and Secretary General Mahmut Gürsoy for their invaluable support during the health center’s construction. Special thanks also to Dr. Şevval Karadağ, President of the Medipreneurs Association, whose efforts were instrumental in bringing this project to fruition.”
