The Messages app is among those receiving significant upgrades, including an automatic translation feature. This new capability will enable seamless communication across different languages, automatically translating both incoming and outgoing messages. Previously, users had to long-press a message and select ‘translate’ to convert it into another language, but iOS 26 will streamline this process.
Another exciting addition to the Messages app is the survey feature. With the help of Apple Intelligence, users will be able to create and participate in polls directly within their conversations. This feature, already popular in apps like WhatsApp and Telegram, will be enhanced with automatic categorization of surveys based on the context of the chat.
