According to a report by The Information, the tech giant is considering an overhaul of the Dynamic Island design, transitioning to a minimalist round camera hole approach by integrating the Face ID hardware beneath the screen.
Speculations suggest that Apple might relocate the front camera to the top left corner of the display. This strategic change might phase out the existing Dynamic Island configuration, yet Apple is likely to adapt these functionalities to accommodate the fresh layout. This shift to a camera hole design is poised to enhance the screen’s usable area, aligning iPhones’ aesthetics with several Android counterparts. Notably, the unique positioning of the camera at the upper left corner will set Apple’s design apart from others.
The report further indicates that Apple is contemplating a dual-phase release for the iPhone 18 lineup. The autumn of 2026 could witness the debut of the iPhone 18 Pro series, showcasing the innovative Face ID design, alongside the introduction of the iPhone 18 Air and a foldable iPhone.
