According to Business Korea, Apple’s choice to bypass LG Display and China’s BOE stems from Samsung’s technological superiority in minimizing screen creases. Industry insiders reveal that Apple is focused on quality above all else when it comes to component sourcing, making Samsung’s advanced OLED displays the “only realistic option.”
The technical specifications for Apple’s foldable device suggest that users will encounter a traditional 5.5-inch iPhone screen when the device is folded. Upon unfolding, users will be greeted by a spacious 7.8-inch interior display, akin to an iPad, with an almost wrinkle-free design.
On the camera front, Apple is reportedly considering an under-screen front camera design. To conserve space, Apple might integrate a Touch ID sensor within the power button, or potentially explore an under-display alternative instead of Face ID.
