This speculation gained traction after Google decided not to follow through with its earlier promise regarding third-party tracking cookies in Chrome.
According to the Daily Mail, Google has delayed plans to eliminate these tracking cookies, which are integral to how websites customize advertising content for users. These cookies track user activity across the web, potentially threatening user privacy.
Potential Risks to Privacy
Originally, Google aimed to substitute cookies with a more privacy-centric system, offering a simple “do not track me” option for Chrome users.
