Adobe has been at the forefront of enhancing its suite of creative tools, particularly Photoshop, with cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. The company continuously adds new AI-driven features to Photoshop, and has now developed a groundbreaking AI agent designed to assist users more effectively.
This innovative AI agent, unveiled at the Adobe Max event, is capable of autonomously executing a range of tasks in Photoshop based on user commands. Much like AI agents such as Manus AI and OpenAI Operator, Adobe’s new AI can independently perform specified actions to streamline the creative process.
The AI agent’s capabilities are vast, encompassing nearly every function available in Photoshop. Accessible through the Actions panel, this agent features an interface reminiscent of chatbots like ChatGPT and Grok. Users can engage in a dialogue with the AI, detailing the tasks they wish to accomplish, and receive guidance akin to traditional chatbot interactions.
In addition to the AI agent, Adobe also revealed the latest iteration of its Firefly application. This app consolidates Adobe’s AI technologies that generate audio, visual, and video content into a single platform. Although currently available on the web, this updated version is slated for release on iOS and Android devices soon.
The new Firefly app allows users to employ both Adobe’s proprietary generative models and external tools such as Google Veo 2 and GPT-4o to create compelling images and videos. This enhancement marks a significant step forward in providing versatile, AI-driven creative solutions.
