Meta Introduces Standalone AI Application

Meta has unveiled its new Meta AI app, a standalone application following its integration with popular platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger. Revealed during Meta’s LlamaCon event, this app provides users with direct access to the Meta AI, akin to existing AI assistant applications like ChatGPT.

Features of the Meta AI App

The Meta AI app is powered by Llama 4, marking Meta’s initial move towards developing a more personalized AI focused on voice interactions. Upon downloading, Meta AI engages users with personal questions to tailor the experience. The app’s speech interface is crafted for ease and natural interaction, allowing users to multitask by running other applications while conversing with the AI.

Meta assures that voice calls will remain personal, relevant, and conversational, although this feature is currently unavailable in Turkey. Additionally, the Meta AI app is capable of creating and editing images through both voice and text commands. A notable feature is its ability to remember user preferences and provide contextually relevant responses. Drawing from information shared across Meta platforms, such as user profiles and preferred content, it offers a highly personalized interaction experience.

Now available for download, the Meta AI app can be accessed by iOS (iPhone & iPad) and Android users. The app is categorized under Productivity and is available free of charge, with a file size of 163.2 MB.
