Borderlands 4 Release Date Moved Up by Eleven Days

In a thrilling announcement from Take-Two Interactive and Gearbox, the highly anticipated Borderlands 4 has had its release date moved forward. Originally slated for a September 23, 2025 release, fans can now look forward to diving into the action-packed universe on September 12, 2025.

First unveiled during the GameCom 2024 Opening Night Live stream, Borderlands 4 promises to deliver the chaotic and exhilarating experience the series is known for. The adventure takes place on the mysterious planet Kairos, where players will battle against the formidable villain known as The Timekeeper, who is wreaking havoc across the land.

Developed for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, the game will feature full cross-platform support, allowing friends to team up regardless of their chosen system.

In a heartfelt announcement on the series’ social media, the developers expressed their excitement: “HEYO, VAULT HUNTERS! WE HAVE AN IMPORTANT UPDATE ON THE RELEASE OF BORDERLANDS 4 The response we’ve received as we near the launch has been phenomenal. Our team has been tirelessly working to create the best Borderlands experience yet, for both new and returning Vault Hunters. After extensive playtesting and development, we’ve made the significant decision to MOVE BORDERLANDS 4 RELEASE DATE TO SEPTEMBER 12.”

Additionally, in anticipation of the earlier release, a special State of Play event is scheduled for Thursday, May 1, 2025, starting at 12:00 P.M. PT. This event will provide an in-depth look at the upcoming game, offering fans a deeper insight into what to expect from this exciting new chapter.
