Although the company did not release a new addition to its Mix Fold series this year, fresh leaks suggest that the series will make a strong comeback in the upcoming year. Notably, the new model, currently being tested with a potent Snapdragon processor, is anticipated to bring forth the most substantial innovations the series has ever seen.
Upcoming Mix Fold: A Powerhouse with Snapdragon and Enhanced Design
According to the latest insights, Xiaomi is concentrating solely on the Mix Flip 2 model with a vertical folding design for now. However, by next year, a new Xiaomi Mix Fold model featuring a horizontal foldable design is expected to be unveiled. While it remains uncertain whether this device will be branded as the “Mix Fold 5” or “Mix Fold 6”, information from the renowned leaker Smart Pikachu suggests that this model will boast significant hardware and design advancements.
One noteworthy feature of the next-generation Xiaomi Mix Fold model is its altered aspect ratio. This modification is aimed at enhancing the foldable screen experience, making it more user-friendly. Such a design shift is crucial for users seeking a more compact display when folded and a more immersive viewing experience when unfolded.
The upcoming model is also rumored to be in testing phases with one of Qualcomm’s advanced chipsets, likely an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 8 series.
