Android 15, which began rolling out in October last year, is progressively being made available on more devices. Consequently, manufacturers have started crafting their Android 15 update schedules. Alongside these schedules, it is crucial to understand which models will no longer receive update support. Below is a detailed list of Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO models that will cease to receive updates as of May 2025.
Xiaomi has implemented an update support policy offering four years of updates for devices released post-2021 and up to five years for devices launched after 2023. While this policy predominantly covers premium models, support for older generations has reached its conclusion. This change is due to a combination of hardware limitations and the elapsed support period.
As of 2025, Xiaomi’s EOS (End of Support) list was last updated to include models like the Mi 10 series, Mi 11 Lite 5G, and MIX 4. By the end of May, the list expanded to incorporate the Redmi Note 11T Pro series, Redmi K50i, POCO X4 GT, POCO C40, Redmi K40S, and POCO F4 models. The comprehensive list of affected phones is detailed below:
Phones added to Xiaomi’s EOS list will no longer receive updates for MIUI, Android, or security. However, it’s important to note that support will not be completely withdrawn. In the event of a critical security vulnerability, these devices may still receive necessary updates. Therefore, users can rest assured that their devices will maintain a level of security integrity.
