Vivo is gearing up to unveil its latest foldable flagship, the X Fold 4, in the third quarter of this year. Recent leaks suggest that this model will be powered by the advanced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, setting a new benchmark in hardware capabilities compared to its predecessor.
The Vivo X Fold 4 is poised to excel with its inclusion of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, replacing the previous X Fold 3’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. This transition promises enhanced performance and improved energy efficiency. While there is no confirmation of a Pro version yet, based on Vivo’s previous launches, a Pro model featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor could be anticipated.
In terms of battery life, the X Fold 4 is rumored to house a 6,000 mAh battery, which is notably substantial within the current foldable phone market, ensuring extended usage periods.
Significant advancements are expected in the camera department. The Vivo X Fold 4 is speculated to include a 50-megapixel main camera sensor, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide-angle camera, promising exceptional image quality.
Design-wise, the Vivo X Fold 4 will feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Additionally, the device is anticipated to boast IPX8 certification for water resistance, a rarity among foldable phones.
The display is expected to impress with a large AMOLED panel that offers a high refresh rate and minimal bezels, ensuring an immersive viewing experience.
