Foreign Ministers to Convene

According to reports from the Financial Times, Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen is slated to meet with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio this week. Two officials have indicated that this meeting is scheduled to occur on the sidelines of the NATO Foreign Ministers Meeting in Brussels, commencing Thursday. However, they cautioned that the meeting could be jeopardized due to the current strained relations between Copenhagen and Washington.

Vice-President’s Visit to Greenland

In a recent visit to Greenland, US Vice-President JD Vance asserted, “We must have Greenland,” emphasizing the strategic importance of the island, rich in mineral resources, for global security. Vance reiterated concerns that Denmark might be ill-equipped to counter growing threats from Russia and China.
