According to a newly released report by Sony Interactive Entertainment, the much-anticipated Intergalactic and Wolverine games might not be featured in the 2027 financial year lineup. Sony Interactive Entertainment has consistently delivered high-quality, big-budget games, and this trend is expected to continue.
Among the many exciting titles being developed at PlayStation Studios, gamers can look forward to Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, crafted by the renowned Kojima Productions, which is slated for release on June 26, 2025. Additionally, Ghost of Yotei, developed by the talented team at Sucker Punch Productions, is set for launch on October 2, 2025.
Intergalactic and Wolverine Games: A 2027 Release Uncertainty
In a recent report by Sony Interactive Entertainment, titled Single Player | Creative Leadership & Consistent Delivery, a detailed table on page twenty-five lists several anticipated games. These include Gran Turismo 7, Horizon: Forbidden West, God of War Ragnarök, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and Astro Bot, alongside the games from Kojima Productions and Sucker Punch Productions expected to debut in the 2025 financial year.
Also mentioned were Marvel’s Wolverine and Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, though their specific release years remain undetermined. Renowned journalist Jason Schreier has hinted that these titles will not see a 2026 release. Furthermore, even their appearance in the 2027 financial year is not set in stone.
In related news, Naughty Dog president Neil Druckmann recently revealed that he is producing an undisclosed game. This project is believed to be a mysterious endeavor that has reportedly been in development for three years, with Shaun Escayg as the director.
