In the fiercely competitive smartphone market, Counterpoint Research has revealed the top-selling smartphones in Europe for the first quarter of 2025. The data highlights a significant presence of Apple and Samsung devices, with Apple securing the top three spots.
The Leaderboard
At the pinnacle sits the iPhone 16 Pro, commanding a 6% share of total sales. It is closely followed by the iPhone 16 Pro Max and the standard iPhone 16, each capturing a 5% share. These figures underscore Apple’s robust performance in the European market.
Samsung’s Strong Showing
Not to be outdone, Samsung’s flagship models, the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S25, clinch the fourth and fifth positions, each with a 3% market share. Additionally, other Samsung models like the Galaxy S24, Galaxy A55 5G, and Galaxy S16 5G maintain a steady presence with a 2% share each.
Notable Newcomer: iPhone 16e
Among the notable entries, the iPhone 16e makes an impressive debut in ninth place, capturing a 2% share. Within Apple’s lineup, the iPhone 16e accounts for 8% of their total sales, reflecting a growing interest in this model. Meanwhile, the iPhone SE 2020 and 2022 variants continue to hold strong with shares of 19% and 12%, respectively.
Rounding Out the Top Ten
Completing the list is the iPhone 15, which, despite being at the tenth spot, maintains a respectable 2% market share, continuing to attract consumers.
