EcoFlow has recently rolled out its cutting-edge portable home energy solution, the Delta Pro Ultra X, following up on last year’s Delta Pro Ultra model. Despite the continued naming intricacies, the new system’s capabilities justify its storied name.
Power Amplified by 60%
The Delta Pro Ultra X offers a stunning 60% increase in power output over its predecessor, delivering a robust 12 kW continuous power. When linked with three inverters in parallel, power can soar to 36 kW, effortlessly complementing substantial installations like a central air conditioning unit, induction furnace, or electric vehicle charging station.
Starting with a battery capacity of 12 kWh, this system can escalate up to 180 kWh. Given the data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), which indicates the average U.S. home utilizes about 29.2 kWh daily, a fully leveraged Delta Pro Ultra X could sustain a household for about six consecutive days. Even longer durations are feasible when energy prioritization is employed for critical devices.
Revolutionary Modularity
This elevated performance is further refined with EcoFlow’s expertly installed electrical panel, compatible with their third-generation Smart Home Panel. This 200-amp panel, either as a primary or secondary installation, manages up to 32 circuits and empowers homeowners to easily deactivate non-essential loads during outages.
Moreover, the system adeptly adjusts its charging using time-based utilization, relying on real-time pricing data and local predictions. Its adaptability is further demonstrated by its ability to integrate smoothly with third-party gas generators, solar panels, and EV charging infrastructure.
Perhaps its most striking feature is the system’s inherent modular design, a hallmark of EcoFlow’s home energy solutions. This design enables users to expand their setup over time, inching closer to true energy autonomy. In addition, the ability to transfer the system to a different residence provides a significant advantage.
The Delta Pro Ultra X package, encompassing the inverter and two expansion batteries, retails for a starting price of $7,999. When bundled with the Smart Home Panel 3, the cost rises to $10,899, presenting a formidable yet flexible energy option.
