Assassin’s Creed: A Legacy Continues

The Assassin’s Creed series, despite facing criticism for becoming somewhat predictable, has managed to maintain its stronghold in the gaming world. Assassin’s Creed Mirage might not have been groundbreaking, but the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows this year reaffirmed the franchise’s popularity. With positive reviews and impressive sales, Ubisoft has once again fortified its position and is currently developing multiple Assassin’s Creed titles.

Unveiling Ubisoft’s Plans

Recent leaks have shed light on Ubisoft’s roadmap for the series, revealing a slate of exciting upcoming games. Here’s a look at the nine new Assassin’s Creed projects in the works:

Unveiling Ubisoft's Plans

Jade: Anticipated to be the next chapter in the main series, this game will transport players to ancient China, offering a fresh setting for the franchise.

Invictus: Drawing inspiration from Fall Guys, this multiplayer experience will see 16 players competing against each other. Ubisoft plans to support Invictus with updates for five years if it proves successful.

Obsidian (Black Flag Remake): Rumored to be a remake of the beloved Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, this game is being rebuilt with the Anvil game engine and is expected to launch alongside Invictus.

Hexe: Speculated to release two years after Shadows, this title will emerge after the official support for Shadows concludes, following two years of updates and DLC.

Scarlet: A major RPG akin to Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Scarlet is expected a year after Hexe. It might be related to the rumored Nebula project, set to explore narratives across India, the Mediterranean, and the Aztec Empire.

Stardust: Like Obsidian, Stardust is believed to be another remake, though the original game remains undisclosed.

Emerald: Launching a few months post-Stardust, this game will feature multiplayer gameplay. It might be connected to the previously rumored Raid project. If successful, Emerald will receive five years of content updates.

RPG3: Details are scarce about RPG3, slated for release two years after Stardust, but it is speculated to be the next installment in the main series.

Remake3: As the name indicates, this is the third remake on Ubisoft’s agenda, though the specific game being remade hasn’t been identified.
