Debuting to much acclaim, the first season of Twisted Metal captivated audiences with its thrilling narrative and action-packed sequences. This success paved the way for the eagerly awaited continuation, with production for season two getting underway by late 2023.
The upcoming season promises to delve deeper into the deadly tournament orchestrated by the enigmatic Calypso, portrayed with chilling intensity by Anthony Carrigan. In this high-stakes competition, up to sixteen competitors battle ferociously to achieve their deepest desires.
Premiere Date and Series Details
The newly released trailer, which gives viewers a glimpse into Calypso’s sinister world, confirms that the series will resume on July 31, 2025, exclusively on Peacock. Returning to the series are familiar faces such as John (played by Anthony Mackie), Quiet (portrayed by Stephanie Beatriz), and Dollface (brought to life by Tiana Okoye), all of whom will navigate the perilous tournament landscape.
Among the lineup of fierce opponents is Sweet Tooth, a fan-favorite character with formidable presence, voiced by Will Arnett and physically portrayed by Joe Seanoa.
