Last year, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra models, omitting the ‘Classic’ version that featured the beloved rotating bezel. Despite this change, a significant number of users still favor this design. In response, Samsung appears to be revisiting their decision. After a one-year hiatus, the Watch Classic is poised to make its return.
The Resurgence of the Classic Design
Recent information from the Bluetooth SIG database reveals that Samsung is indeed working on a new “Galaxy Watch8 Classic”, identified by the model number SM-L505U. This development officially heralds the return of the Classic series, a line characterized by its iconic rotating bezel.
For those who have missed this feature, earlier certifications from April indicated that the Galaxy Watch8 would boast a slightly larger battery compared to its predecessor. This enhancement is anticipated to extend to the Classic variant as well. Moreover, users can look forward to software upgrades that promise to enhance health tracking, endurance, and productivity. However, specific details remain sparse at this stage.
Currently, the Galaxy Watch8 Classic’s details are limited to these certifications. Yet, as the launch date approaches, more information is likely to surface. The new model is expected to debut in early July, alongside the standard Galaxy Watch8. Additionally, it is speculated that the launch might feature the Galaxy Z Flip & Fold 7 models.
