The recent State of Play broadcast has captured significant attention, breaking its own viewership records as reported by Streams Charts. This latest installment, aligning with the pre-Summer Game Fest tradition established during the COVID-19 pandemic, offered over forty minutes of engaging content last Thursday.
With a mix of fresh game announcements and updates on previously revealed titles, the stream garnered immense interest from the gaming community. According to Streams Charts, the latest State of Play ranked as the third most-watched broadcast, trailing only behind a Nintendo Direct centered on Switch 2. It reached an impressive peak of more than 2.2 million viewers, with an average audience of 1.9 million.
This milestone was significantly aided by approximately a thousand content creators hosting co-streams. The official PlayStation channel alone attracted 741,000 viewers, while popular streamers such as Asmongold managed to draw in over 70,000 viewers each.
A standout moment of the presentation was the reveal of a trailer for Pragmata, an anticipated Capcom title speculated to release in 2026.
Looking ahead, the next State of Play is scheduled for next month, with a focus on Ghost of Yotei, expected to launch in October.
In related news, don’t miss the two-hour Summer Game Fest happening tonight, followed by the Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday.
