Recent Earthquake Events in Silivri

In the early hours, the region off the coast of Silivri experienced significant seismic activity. The initial earthquake struck at 12:13 am and registered a magnitude of 3.9. This was only a precursor to a more powerful tremor that followed shortly thereafter.

At 12:49 am, a more substantial earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 was recorded, once again centered off the coast of Silivri. This major quake triggered a series of aftershocks, including events with magnitudes of 4.9 and 4.2, adding to the seismic unrest in the area.

In response to these unsettling developments, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan issued a statement expressing his concern and solidarity.
