SEGA has officially announced the return of its beloved series to the Western audience with SEGA Football Club Champions. Though the release date is still forthcoming, this game promises to be a delightful addition for fans of management simulations.
The series originally debuted in 1996, marking a 29-year legacy. However, its presence in the Western market has been limited. Previously, the West received ‘Pro Soccer Club o Tsukurou! Europa Championship’ for the PlayStation 2, known as ‘Let’s Make a Soccer Team’ in Australia and Europe. This year marks its second Western release, barring any unforeseen delays.
Available for free, the game will support Turkish subtitles and interface options across multiple platforms, including mobile devices, PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Players can enjoy solo gameplay or engage in online multiplayer PvP modes, with potential cross-platform compatibility in the works.
In career mode, players will have the opportunity to create a soccer club from the ground up, striving to achieve global dominance in the soccer world. Thanks to the FIFPro license, the game will feature 10,000 real players. This includes 1,500 players from the J1-J3 leagues, and it boasts partnerships with the South Korean league and Manchester City. However, a comprehensive list of leagues and teams is yet to be disclosed.
Although the release date remains unannounced, gamers can add it to their wishlists in the PlayStation and Steam stores.
