Samsung’s Continuous Software Update Strategy
Samsung remains unwavering in its commitment to providing regular updates for its mobile software. Even though the deployment of One UI 7 is still ongoing, the company is already setting the stage for One UI 8. The beta testing phase has commenced, and the finalized version is projected to launch this summer, possibly as early as July. However, with each significant update, older Galaxy models may no longer be supported. A similar scenario is anticipated with One UI 8, as certain devices will reach the end of their software support lifecycle.
Eligible Galaxy A Series Models
The anticipation builds around which Galaxy A series phones will receive the Android 16-based One UI 8 update. Although Samsung has yet to release an official list, their update policy allows us to predict which models are likely to benefit from this new version. Top-tier devices expected to receive the update include the Galaxy A73, A56, A55, A54, and A53. In the mid-range category, the A36, A35, A34, and A33 are likely candidates. For more budget-friendly options, both LTE and 5G variants of the A26, A25, A24, A16, and A15 are anticipated to be on the list. Moreover, the A06 model is poised to join the fortunate devices receiving One UI 8.

While the exact lineup will be confirmed upon Samsung’s official declaration, it is almost certain that the majority of the aforementioned models will be eligible for the update. Users should monitor the update schedule closely to determine when their devices will receive the new interface.
