Samsung is gearing up for the release of its latest flagship tablets, the Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, scheduled for later this year. Recent reports have unveiled substantial improvements in battery capacities for both models, especially the larger variant, promising enhanced performance for users.
Three years ago, Samsung last upgraded the battery capacity in its premier tablet model to 11,200 mAh. Excitingly, the upcoming Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is set to surpass its predecessor with a significantly larger battery. According to GalaxyClub, the new Ultra model will boast a nominal battery capacity of 11,374 mAh, marking an impressive 500 mAh increase over the 10,800 mAh battery of the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. Given that the previous model was often marketed with an 11,200 mAh capacity, it is anticipated that the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra will be promoted with a capacity of 11,700 mAh or 12,000 mAh.
In contrast, the base model Galaxy Tab S11 will maintain its predecessor’s battery capacity. It will be equipped with a nominal capacity of 8,160 mAh and an advertised capacity of 8,400 mAh, consistent with the Galaxy Tab S9. Notably, last year’s lineup lacked a base model, featuring only the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra. This year, however, Samsung plans to introduce both the base and Ultra models.
Both the Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra are expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, ensuring robust performance and efficiency. While the exact release date remains under wraps, Samsung traditionally unveils its new tablet series in August or September.
