Samsung is gearing up to revolutionize its series of wearable devices with the integration of cutting-edge artificial intelligence features in the near future. The tech giant plans to incorporate Google’s advanced AI assistant, Gemini, into the Galaxy Watch lineup for the very first time.
This strategic partnership aims to deliver a more intelligent, seamless, and integrated user experience across Samsung’s smartwatches and earbuds. Users of the Galaxy Watch will soon be able to perform everyday tasks with ease using natural voice commands. For instance, while working out on a treadmill, users could effortlessly request, “Remember that I used locker 43 today.” Alternatively, they might command, “Summarize my last email,” for a quick overview. Such functionalities will enable users to interact directly with their watch without the need to switch between different applications.
Moreover, the Gemini assistant is also set to enhance the Galaxy Buds3 series. By simply using a voice command or a squeeze and hold gesture, users can rapidly interact with their smartphones without reaching for them. For example, running enthusiasts can inquire about the weather by asking, “What’s the weather today?” before heading out, eliminating the need to check their phones.
Samsung emphasizes that this update will foster a more unified and intelligent user experience by integrating AI capabilities throughout the entire Galaxy ecosystem. Although the company has not specified an exact release date, the update is anticipated to be part of One UI 8, likely to be unveiled alongside the Galaxy Watch 8 series at the upcoming Unpacked event this summer.
